Conscrated and Sent Out!

I am totally in awe of Jehovah God… his power is limitless!  On Saturday while meeting with the church, we were encouraged to edifyone another, using “statement(s) of admiration, kudos, commendation [and]  encouragement” …. but the list also included “words of wisdom, words of knowledge and prophecy.”  We were encouraged to always bring something to the table when we came together, and this time was a deliberate time of doing that.  We were encouraged to use our gifts and bless one another.

The Scriptures we used to point us in the right direction were several, but for the sake of brevity I will only quote two passages. These epitomize not only the session’s theme of edification, but our assembly’s primary focus of group participation.  No one is allowed to sit and just observe; we are continually encouraged to use our gifts and talents to participate in any activity.

1 Corinthians 14:12b (Message)

Since you’re so eager to participate in what God is doing, why don’t you concentrate on doing what helps everyone in the church?

1 Corinthians 14:26 (Message)

So here’s what I want you to do. When you gather for worship, each one of you be prepared with something that will be useful for all: Sing a hymn, teach a lesson, tell a story, lead a prayer, provide an insight.

(NIV) What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.

It was an awesome time – prophetic words and encouragements were flowing, and everyone was being built up.  When it was my turn, the facilitator started to speak about my transparency and how that is something that she admired.  During this time, she started to speak out prophetically, and she said – I’ll have to paraphrase, as I didn’t get it recorded, unfortunately – she said that the church recognized my call to set captives free, and that they as a church releases me to minister.  That was awesome for me – she didn’t know that I was asking God to be released…. I didn’t want to just jump back into ministry after my consecration time…

She called on the fire of God to fill me – my hands got hot and I could feel the presence of the Lord fill me inside…. I could do nothing but sink to the floor in worship.

Funny story: I had my children with me, and the older boy knelt with me, concerned because he was wondering why his daddy was lying face down on the floor.  The younger one, however, took it upon himself to sit and bounce on my back! *grin*

So I’m set to see God moving in my life in more powerful ways now… since then I’ve restarted prophesying and I’m in the process of preparing for two upcoming deliverance sessions.  May the Lord be praised – how majestic is his name!

The Cross!

Wanted to post a quick update – just to let everyone know I have not forgotten you nor abandoned my blog!

The most visited blog post on this blog is about the True Meaning of the Cross.  It is a couple of jumps away so that you can start reading the article – but I highly recommend you reading the highlighted blog post … and the underlying article.

Be blessed!

{And again – anyone who, after reading these articles, feels a tug towards committing or recommitting their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ, please do not hesitate to get in contact with me through this blog! I remember soon after writing the first blog post having a comment from a guy in Africa who wanted a Bible – and one was sent to him for him to learn more about Christ. This blog is about HIM.)

Happy 1 year anniversary to ME!!!!!

WOW…. who would have believed it? I just checked my archives and just realized it – September 27th was my blog’s first birthday!!!!! What a bad parent…. I forgot! lol

Anyway, I’m just greatful to God Almighty that I’ve been able to keep at this for a WHOLE YEAR… and then some!  Let’s get ready for a new year!

Almighty God, I give you this blog again as a commitment from my heart to yours. I started this blog as a chronicle of the mighty things you have been doing in my life, and I want to continue to use it in this manner.  But God! I never saw the love coming!  I have met some solid friendships here – Tam, and Darla, Praise365 and Tola…. and so much more people than I have ever interacted with without ever seeing them face to face ONE TIME.  But you know what? I want that to change!  So, God, I bless you for this piece of heaven right here online (on earth doesn’t seem appropriate!) and I ask that more people are blessed by this blog, more people are helped by interacting with YOU through me.  Let us band together again, Jesus, to see demons run from the name that is above every other name!  Let us link arms, Holy Spirit, so that as you release words of prophecy through me that those reading will be blessed.  And all of this – ALL. OF. IT.  I give back to the most wonderful FATHER I could ever hope for – my Eternal Everlasting FATHER GOD – JEHOVAH.

AMEN

Lions Set Free

I’ve been introduced to this blog post – and now I’m captivated!  I’d usually add my comments after the pithy excerpts, but I can’t add to this.  Here is the link to this article by Milt Rodriguez, as posted on Frank Viola’s blog… and are some quotes that impacted me.  I encourage you to read the entire article!

“In captivity, the lions basically forget that they are lions. The forget how to hunt. They forget how to live in the wild. And they forget how to live in a pride. The “pride” is the name for a community of lions. Lions are by and large social creatures and do not do well as loners.”

“You and I were born (again) to be spiritual lions. That’s who we are, but we have forgotten our true nature because of our captivity in the religious system. Captivity has conditioned us to believe things that are just not true. We have become something less than our true calling and destiny because of this conditioning. We have become domesticated.”

But our natural habitat is not lived alone. This is a place of community. This is the place of the pride.”

“Yet we have a Lord who is both Lion and Lamb. He is definitely gentle. But make no mistake about it, He is not tame! He is as wild as they come and the wild realm that is our home is inside of Him (Eph. 1:3).”

“He re-introduces His “lions” back into the wild by the use of “handlers.” These are men and women who are called, prepared, and sent by Him for this difficult task. They do not become caretakers of the believers, but their job is to be re-introducers. Then the believers re-discover their spiritual instincts and habitat that has been long forgotten in captivity.”

Now that all of these believers are being set free from captivity, what will happen next? How will they now be re-introduced to the wild? How will they remember how to hunt? How will they be introduced to the “pride” life?

God’s own rehabilitation program must be the answer. We need to pray that God will raise up many “handlers” who have been called, prepared, and sent to walk with the lions.
